Me in the snow.
That was only half of the snow we actually got. |
So we were definitely snowed in on Saturday and Sunday. Church was cancelled the night before which made some members unhappy since the real snow hadn't really started yet, but it was the right decision after seeing the 12+ inches we got. One member told us it was 15 inches but we measured about 12-13. Either way we got more snow than any area in our zone, and possibly more snow than any area in the mission. No one else really got hit with anything, which was weird. But yeah because of the snow we basically didn't do anything on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then Monday was p-day. Very weird. It's real warm now so everything's melting but it's supposed to freeze tonight again. Boo. People are real dumb out here on icy roads. We saw one guy in a truck take out a marquee sign thing in Wakefield on Sunday, and then watched another truck try to power his way up a super icy hill. He ended up reversing back the other way. Dumb. We're back out driving today though which is real nice. Elder Christensen gets severe cabin fever when we're inside a lot. He won't admit it but his ADD is very real. We did play Bananagrams which is a fun game but we didn't get to play Yahtzee.

Lets see. I'm not sure what to say about last week cause it was barely even a week. We did mission conference on Tuesday where we had some christmas musical numbers and stuff. We all got stockings from the mission office with stuff in it so that was nice. On Thursday we taught that guy I was talking about on the phone who's the brother of a member. It was real good so we're excited about that. Oh, and then yesterday we finally contacted Charles again. He's still in Norfolk and will be until the end of January so we got his address and are really hoping that this time the missionaries there will contact him. He said he needs to get back on track but it's hard when he doesn't have any solid contact from missionaries. We're hoping something happens there.

They were all over us. |
Not a whole lot to say. Oh, we did get to go laser tagging yesterday. We had to dig our way out of the snow which was more difficult than we thought but we got out. We almost hit our neighbor's truck while sliding around but the crisis was averted. Laser tag was fun though. Some missionaries (i.e. the younger ones) don't understand the idea that it's just laser tagging for fun and not Xbox Live or something but it was fun nonetheless. I was the highest scorer on the last game. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Hm. That's about it really. Transfer calls are the 9th which is crazy. We have no idea what will happen. None idea.
Alright I think I'm done.
